Peacock Craft

I think I've mentioned before that we haven't been doing a ton of crafts as of late. The weather has been nice, so playing in the dirt outdoors is my boys' preference. When we are stuck inside, Big Buddy is very happy to just draw sauropods over and over and over again.  I did manage to talk them into doing one craft during our bird unit - peacocks! aren't they cute?  supplies: foam brushes, 2 coffee filters, sequins, glue, toilet paper tube,  acrylic paint (it provides better coverage the tempera), dot markers (if you don't have dot markers you can use food coloring), water colors or washable markers, goggly eyes, a small triangle for a beak (not pictured) Step 1: fold the top sides of the toilet paper tube down and staple in place - see picture above for example Step 2: use acrylic paint to cover tubes Step 3: use dot markers to color coffee filters  because the bleed so much we stacked or coffee filters Step 4: once coffee f...
