I enjoy celebrations: the colorful decorations, the fun food, and the activities.

I also enjoy traditions. Knowing what to expect builds anticipation and it helps to solidify memories. I think celebrations and traditions can knit a family closer together. Our Valentine's day tradition is to always hide hearts around the house for our kids to find.

On each of the hearts we write a message about something they do that brings us joy. It's sweet to watch them beam with pride as the read all they ways they make us smile.

On holidays we also have a fun breakfast. What we eat varies depending on what we are craving or how much time we have. This Valentine's day we had heart shaped cinnamon toast.

You can see some photos of previous Valentine's Day fun here or here. Do you have any fun family Valentine's Day traditions?
