This past week we've spent a lot of time focusing on Easter, the resurrection of Christ.
Truthfully, I also enjoyed this more than dying eggs; these are much more fun to eat.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again
to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
1 Peter 1:3
We feel so blessed to have this hope that we know we do not deserve. To have grace and mercy because of a sacrifice that was not our own or one that we could of ever made. We count it a joy to be able to share these truths with our children; to be able to teach them of the gravity of Good Friday and the joy that Resurrection Day brings. I hope this past weekend you and your family got a chance to reflect and to celebrate.
On Saturday we had my father-in-law over for an Easter meal. The kids also received a basket and searched for eggs.
Jeremy is not a fan of dying Easter eggs, he's also not a fan of carving pumpkins, I think he just likes to buck tradition :). Anyways, we decided to decorate sugar cookies instead.
Truthfully, I also enjoyed this more than dying eggs; these are much more fun to eat.
This post is part of an almost weekly series inspired in part by Bob Bennett's song "Small Graces"
Sometimes they slip by without notice
Sometimes they are very hard to see
Other times it's all so clear when they are happening to me...
These are the small graces, the little moments when the miracles come...
Small graces leading to the larger one...
They are a reminder to the heart there is more to the life than meets the eye...
He is in the small graces, the little moments when the miracles come...
