This outfit contains many of my current favorites. The top is a recent "just because" gift from Jeremy's aunts, which already makes it special, but I also adore it's crochet details - unfortunately, the details are a little hard to see in pictures. The pants are also fairly new and are so comfortable that I find myself wearing them all the time. The shoes are a happy souvenir our from our recent NYC trip - I picked them up at a sidewalk sale for only $10!

I'm a bit sad that the polka-dot trend faded so quickly. Luckily, trends have never been my top concern while planning an outfit. Since I still think they are lot of fun I will probably continue to wear them for a while.

I threw a cardigan over this dress during church, which saved me for a bit of an embarrassing fashion faux-pa. Jeremy had gone away for a men's retreat that weekend so I didn't have him to help zip me up in the back. I meant to ask Big Buddy but in the rush to get us all out the door on my own - I wanted to show Jeremy I could be on time even without him! - I forgot. Luckily, I found the AC to be freezing as usual, and wore my sweater all morning.
scarf: vintage, belt: thrift, necklace: francesca's, dress: old navy, shoes + cardigan: target fyi - this dress is currently marked down to $20 - find it here |
I wore this outfit to the wedding we attend this past weekend. I had planned to wear the same outfit (a lace pink dress) that I wore to a weeding we attended early this summer. Jeremy, however, made me second guess myself when he pointed out that while the locations were hundreds of miles apart, there were a handful of guests that would be the same. At first I laughed at him, - "nobody would remember what we wore, do you remember what anyone other than the bride and groom wore?" - but eventually I succumbed to doubts and chose to go with this navy dress instead. I don't adore it as much as I do the lace one but I did enjoy mixing in the greens. The skirt of this dress also has great swing too, which made dancing all the more fun.

Delete3 cute dresses! And I'm with you - I'm not big on dropping a print I love (like polka dots!!) just because it's not the hottest at the moment. Besides, when are polka dots ever wrong? ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm glad I'm not the only who not giving up polka dots :)
DeleteOh I am loving that first outfit! The green shoes are the perfect touch. Are polka dots out now? I hope not because I love them! I'll just pretend I'm blissfully unaware. :)
